Nicolas Papoin is a master stone carver and mason. He studied stone carving and restoration at Académie des Arts d’Avignon. Papoin received his Baccalaureate Degree in the Art of Stone Work and a Professional Certificate in Stone Work and Masonry in Felletin, France.  He has worked on cathedrals, churches and private homes throughout France. His sculpture have been exhibited through France

In 2017 Papoin moved to New York City and currently lives in Peterborough, New Hampshire. He worked for 2.5 years for a local stone mason pointing brick, repairing chimneys and other masonry skills on the historic buildings of New Hampshire. In his spare time he gardens, tends bees and uses the local stone to create bowls, planters and sculptural birdbaths for fun.
